The Macon-Hall PTA welcomes and encourages parent, teachers, relatives and friends to join. Dues are $5.00 per person.
What is the PTA?
The Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) is a nonpartisan, noncommercial, national organization designed to achieve the following PTA objectives:
- Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and places of worship
- Raise the standards of home life
- Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- Bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
- Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
As a PTA member, you are part of the largest child advocacy organization in the nation. You join millions of others who work to enrich and improve the quality of education and home life for children everywhere, but most especially at Macon-Hall.
Your membership supports and raises funds for our school, and helps needy families during the holidays. The PTA supports school projects and programs on Accelerated Reader, Cultural Arts, the environment, health, safety. The PTA also sponsors fun events such as Grandparents' Breakfast, Muffins with Mom, and Donuts with Dad.
