Macon-Hall Elementary PTA

Reflections

The 2008 Reflections theme is "Wow!" and will run from September 23 through October 3.

The PTA Reflections Program is is a national arts recognition and achievement program open to students in Preschool through Grade 12 in areas of literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts. The works of art will be judged by professionals in the respective arts areas, and selected works will be advanced to the state or national levels for judging.

The National PTA Reflections Program is more than 25 years old and over ten million students have participated in the program since it was created. The National PTA, founded in 1897, encourages its more than 6.5 million members to be involved in key child education and welfare issues. The organization serves as a advocate for children and familes in schools, the community and before government agencies.

An information packet will go home with the students and their works will be displayed in our school for viewing. After the judges have examined all the entries, winners will be announced and go on to county and then state competitions. All students are encouraged to participate.

Good luck to all participants!
