Welcome Room Parents!!!
Welcome to another exciting year at Macon-Hall Elementary! Let me 1st introduce myself. My name is Dee Parramore, the Room Parent Chair for the 2007-2008 school year.
As a Room Parent, you have made a big commitment! This should be taken very seriously, yet be a fun and rewarding experience for you and your child. Being a Room Parent enables you to get involved in your child's educational experience at a completely different level. Your willingness to help will not only convey to your child how important he/she is to you, but will also provide a way for you to show your support for the teachers of Macon-Hall Elementary.
Get ready! This school year promises to be a fun-filled year with activities and events that enhance their education. Room Parents have always been such a valued part of this school. I am looking forward to a year of EXCEPTIONAL Room Parent support!
This handbook is designed to assist you; however, our communication is essential for a successful year. Lesson line will be updated monthly; articles will be in Timber Tales; notes will be sent home through your teacher if there is something specific. I have also included my phone numbers and email address should you need to contact me.
It is crucial that you sign in at the main office upon your arrival at the school. As stated in the PTA Handbook, this is required of ALL visitors to maintain a record of volunteer hours as well as to provide safety for our students, staff volunteers, and visitors. Please wear your name badges when in the school building.
PLEASE call me with any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc! This is going to be a great year! With you as Room Parents, "you can make a world of difference!"
