Safety Poster Contest

Safety Poster Contest 2008-2009

This contest, sponsored by the National PTA, promotes safety awareness at all age levels.

A new theme is chosen each year to educate our children in all areas of safety. The contest is held in the fall and each year the posters will be displayed in the hallways at school. Then, local school placements will be sent on to the county-wide competition.

The theme for 2008-2009 is "Stranger Danger". Dates will run from October 21st through October 31st.

The poster shall be regular poster board size of 22 x 28 inches (a full sheet).

The color and pattern may be chosen by the participant. Attachments are not allowed, including three dimensional posters, and will be disqualified. Poster must be designed and prepared by the student. A Student Entry Form (sent home with student) must be completely filled out and signed by both student and parent/guardian/teacher. Submissions without the Student Entry Form will be disqualified from judging.

Judging will be based upon the following:
a. Originality and creativity.
b. Educational value of the theme development.
c. Age-appropriate quality of work.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE TURNED IN BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31st.
